We couldn’t be more thrilled to see the whole fashion circus starting with Copenhagen Fashion Week. In this article, we bring you a selection of the best Copenhagen street style inspiration during fashion week. And as we expect from the Scandinavians, CPHFW SS22 is again all about joy and vibrant colours.
CPHFW has not only become the leading fashion event in the Nordics, but it has also turned into the most wearable one ever. And that’s not even the best thing about it. Copenhagen Fashion Week’s sustainability plan strives for responsible consumption and production. So, yes, we do love it.

Sensible shoes
This year the Danish fashion crowd focused on functionality. The attendees at Copenhagen Fashion Week SS22 wore footwear that you can take on your next Sunday walk. Surely, some girls were wearing pumps, celebrating the coming back of glamour, but even they chose comfort and went for wide and chunky heels. Clogs and Birkenstock were everywhere to be seen, too.
Oversized blazer
How to keep things loose is one of the things we’ve learned during the past year and a half. And Copenhagen street style is obviously not giving up the popular comfy-cosy trends. We can see that with the classic oversized blazer. This piece is still relevant, and the timing is perfect, with all of us having to go back to the office.
Elevated go-to white shirt
White shirts are a staple in every timeless wardrobe. So, grab your white shirt and go for the Norwegian influencer Tine Andrea Lauvli outfit. She nailed the Copenhagen street style inspiration by wearing a shirt underneath a strapless dress. If it’s too much for you, wear the white shirt underneath a strap dress. It’s a great tip to keeping wearing your summer dresses into the next season, anyway. Another Tine’s style inspiration to follow is how she throw a pop of colour on her black and white look; the orange pointed-toe ballet flats are the perfect addition to the chic outfit.
Denim must-have top
The denim shirts are making a comeback. Fashion stylist and former ELLE editor Sille Henning looked effortless chic wearing a denim shirt with a peter pan collar, paired with the same shade of jeans. Denim-on-denim is actually a thing this season again and a great uniform for Fall work-outfit.
XXL Knitwear
Copenhagen street style inspiration is a lot about how to stay stylish without sacrificing comfort. That’s why we loved the XXL knitwear that influencer Amaka Hamelijnck was wearing in the streets of the Danish capital. The peachy satin evening dress perfectly flattered her silhouette, and the oversized knitted cardigan gave off a nod to the ’70s. As a result, the it-piece became a street style sensation at CPHFW. The designer behind it is Hope Macaulay, an Irish fashion designer well-known for her chunky 100% merino wool knits. In fact, celebrities like Gigi Hadid have been seen wearing Hope’s pieces. Outwear, the hero of your fall wardrobe
Fashionista Tine Andrea Lauvli took yet another fabulous outfit to the streets of Copenhagen. And the highlight of it? Her long black trench coat. However, you’ve probably noticed that she’s only buttoned it at the neck area, which is giving us the ultimate cool vibe. Additionally, she was seen rocking a cute mini emerald green bag. Why? Because Copenhagen Fashion Week 2021 was all about optimistic colours. This year the Scandinavian fashion crowd wants you to stand out and dress for the mood you aim for.
Preppy silk scarf
The preppy silk scarf has become our favourite summer accessory. After watching many TikTok videos on how to wear one, we must say that you can surely elevate an outfit with one of those. But, of course, the Scandinavian fashionistas couldn’t miss out on the trend, too, so one guest took it up a notch and combined it with a cool oversized suit. Nevertheless, see how you can style scarves like a pro here.
