The new campaign for Miu Miu’s fall 2019 collection is out, and we loved it. Eddie Wrey shot the group of models including Haley Bieber and Adut Akech, in a ranch in Montana but it could be anywhere else. Miu Miu’s press release explains that the campaign is “powered by an exploration of youth and the great outdoors.”
The Fall /Winter campaign speaks of vast horizons, nature and freedom, but also the spirit of sisterhood of the Miu Miu girl. We can sense that the group of multi-faceted young women is on an adventure; it is a journey of self-expression and a return to nature. And of course, as one always does when running through the fields and paddling in the water, the beautiful girls are clad in the most fabulous floral dresses and chic capes.
Miuccia Prada designed the Fall/winter 2019 collection for her younger label, Miu Miu, highlighting the cape, which she says, nods to both history and protection. The cloaks come in heavy canvas, tweed, faux-leather and fur or crocheted. They are worn over romantic floral dresses and quirky mini dresses with cherry blossom prints, paired with bejewelled stay-up tights decorated with flowers. And the shoes are either beautiful velvet flats and sparkling heels or boots and sandals with chunky platforms that resemble tractor tires.
The chain bib-necklaces, which are one of the significant jewellery trends for fall, finish the looks beautifully.
Miu Miu fall 2019 is romantic and modern at the same time, designed for strong Little Red Riding Hood girls who are not afraid of the big bad wolf.
