Some cities are an unexpected delight when it comes to fashion shopping. Take Antwerp, for example—there’s enough Belgian design talent there to warrant an entire article on the brands I discovered during my week in the diamond capital. Another city I adore for a shopping spot? Munich. The Bavarian capital offers a compact yet perfectly curated selection of luxury boutiques, streetwear gems, and grand department stores, all within a few walkable streets in the city centre. And as of this February, there’s a stylish new addition to this fashion-forward quartier: Max&Co has officially opened its doors at Theatinerstrasse 30. So, who was there to celebrate the grand opening?

Is Max&Co Part of the Max Mara Group?
Born in Italy, Max&Co was founded in 1986 as a contemporary offshoot of Max Mara, designed to reflect the evolving pace of society and fashion trends with a fresher, more modern aesthetic.
Max&Co speaks to women who embrace a laid-back yet effortlessly chic style. It champions a more versatile, real-world approach to dressing—offering wearable, easy-to-style pieces that blend seamlessly into daily life. Princess of Wales was spotted wearing an impeccable head-to-toe camel outfit from the Italian brand.
From its origins as a family-run Italian atelier to becoming one of the most respected names in global fashion, Max&Co has flourished as a key investment within the Max Mara Group. It upholds the same pristine quality standards as its elder sister, Max Mara—but without breaking the bank.
