Miu Miu has just released its latest campaign, setting the mood for Fall 2020. The collection for Pre Fall 2020 marries the everyday utilitarian with the extravagant and formal, and the result is fantastic. This is to say, you’ll accept any party invitation just to have an excuse to wear these fantastic looks!
Miuccia Prada designed a glamorous yet fun collection for the little sister brand of Prada. In the collection called Here Comes The Night, more is more. For example, ruffled bibs with sparkling buttons, wide Peter Pan collars, pearls and bows embellish the pieces.
By the way, the Italian designer recruited Raf Simons to co-direct from now on the creation at Prada. As a result, Miu Miu will be the only label where we’ll have 100% of Miuccia’s signature style.
For Fall 2020, Patchwork and checkered dresses are decorated with delicate or glamorous details. Consequently, they are perfect for the new generation of Miu Miu fans longing for the joy of dressing up.
We can feel in this collection the influence of the late ’60s and ‘70s. Above all, Miu Miu‘s fall is made of mini dresses, romantic eyelet pieces, bows and bejewelled collars.
The garments’ tops adorned with pearls and crystals are ideal for these strange times. Therefore, wear them now for socially distanced celebrations and Zoom parties.
The campaign was shot in Milan before the Coronavirus lockdown by photographer Douglas Irvine.
Miu Miu Pre Fall 2020 features Tang He, Kasper Kapica, Esme Creed-Miles, Tomiwa Adeshina and Patrycja Piekarska. The models appear in dream-like images inspired in real and imagined 19th-century heroines.
To sum up, according to the Italian house’s press release, “it’s the glamour of young women deciding who they’d like to be.”
