Extra-wide trousers
As we saw at London Fashion Week A/W 21-22, power suits come with extra-wide legged trousers and in eye-catching colours. And you can also wear wide-leg pants to go out at night as Carolina Herrera presented, or with cosy knitwear and platform shoes for a more street look like Marc Jacobs styled. And Victoria Beckham is a big number if you are looking for inspiration on how to style and wear trousers.

Stirrup pants
On the other hand, tight trousers like stirrup pants are an ’80s trend making a big comeback for Fall/Winter 21-22, which comes quite handy since we’ll be wearing boots and leggings layered under dresses. Balmain, Emilia Wickstead, Jacquemus, and Celine are some of the luxury fashion houses presenting trousers that look like a second skin. Either with a slit at the ankle or with stirrups, these tight trousers are a comfortable and more dressed up alternative to regular leggings. Wear them with blazers or longer jackets in a total colour style that elongates the silhouette.

Bell-bottom pants
Flared trousers with statement bell-bottoms bring back the ‘70s style for fall/winter 21-22. We saw them at Salvatore Ferragamo, Versace, Stella McCartney, Carolina Herrera, and Awake Mode, among other runway shows. Pair exaggerated flares with elevated blazers like the ones Kate Middleton wears for stylish office outfits. These cool pants look fab with sneakers or platform shoes, a hot footwear trend in A/W 2021.

Retro ski trousers
In Fall/Winter 21-22, you’ll wear anywhere quilted trousers in the fashion of retro après-ski pants. From chic models like Chanel’s to boho patchwork trousers worn with artisanal looking knits at Etro or bulkier quilted looks at Miu Miu; the après-ski trend brings a nostalgic taste to the colder seasons, so get the mulled wine ready.

Leather trousers Autum/Winter trend
According to Alberta Ferretti, Off-White, Celine, and Awake Mode, you’ll enter Fall/Winter 21-22 in leather trousers. The timeless trend comes this year in various colours; from classic black and brown to baby blue, green or orange, that you can wear with long wool or leather coats. Check here how to wear the leather-on-leather trend.

Trousers layered under dresses
As we told you before, layering dresses over trousers is a great styling trick. It allows you to keep wearing your favourite dresses while transitioning to fall in contemporary looks. We saw the trousers and dress trend during Fashion Week fall/winter 21-22 at Marc Jacobs, Cecilie Bahnsen, Bora Aksu, Louis Vuitton, and Courrèges, among others. Choose monochromatic or ton-sur-ton looks that are easy to wear, or keep patterns to a minimum, for chicer outfits.
