Besides fun dance and song challenges, TikTok is also becoming the go-to app for designers, luxury fashion houses and people looking for fashion inspiration and styling tricks. The designer Claudya Moreira has already gained almost 200k followers showing women how to style and wear a scarf. In fact, she can turn a scarf into tops, beanies, skirts and even handbags.
Born in Cape Verde, the Lisbon-based model says her first experience with scarves was in her childhood. Moreira lived with her mother and grandmother, who used to wear scarves on their heads, which is still a part of the Cape Verdean culture today. She explains that elder women wear a scarf tied around their heads so that younger people would know to treat them with the utmost respect.
On her TikTok account, Claudya Moreira has already shown with her styling tricks, more than fifty different ways to wear a scarf. Her videos are a hit and have turned her into a TikTok star. So the inventive styling guru decided to launch in September, Zafia, a scarf label based in Lisbon, as a tribute to her grandmother, mother, and all the women of the Cape Verde Islands. Check next her fantastic styling tricks and learn how to wear your favourite scarf.
